Pine Forge Academy, a premier Seventh-day Adventist boarding school, is seeking a
dynamic and experienced Director to lead and manage the Academy’s Student
Success Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Christian education and a
strong commitment to the mission of Pine Forge Academy. This role will help to
maintain the academic rigor of the Academy’s student body by developing programs
and designing effective strategies that bolster achievement outcomes.

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful academic learning/instructional strategies.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Library Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in education as a librarian, teacher, counselor, or school administrator, preferably within a private or faith-based educational institution.
• FBI Fingerprinting and Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse training clearances.

maintain the academic rigor of the Academy’s student body by developing programs

Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive student success strategy aligned with the Academy's mission to support the academic progress of students.
- Participate in the school’s accreditation work group sessions and ongoing strategic planning sessions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing students, parents, educational partners, the school board, and alumni.
- Establish a schedule for the Student Success Center that best supports student learning, while allowing time to meet with and grow relationships with all stakeholder groups.
- Create a cadre of workshops/seminars and other offerings that support students in attaining excellent work/study habits.
- Under the direction and advisement of the Vice Principal and Registrar, identify students who are in need of academic support and ensure that those students are registered for and attend Study Hall on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with the Vice Principal and Guidance Counselor to track and analyze student achievement data in order to develop strategies that support the overall learning of students.
- Prepare regular reports on programs, workshops and other offerings delivered to students and their efficacy.
- Work with teachers to support the learning of all students, including multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
- Support teachers by working with targeted small groups – both within the classroom and in a separate location if necessary.
- Under the direction and advisement of the Vice Principal, collaborate with teachers on lesson planning and offer insights and suggestions on ways to propel student learning forward.
- Be responsible for the physical space formerly known as the library.
- Organize all materials and furniture within the space (e.g. physical/digital books, resources, furniture).
- Maintain a clean space and ensure that students follow all rules within the Student Success Center.
- Ensure that all activities within the Student Success Center are aligned with Pine Forge Academy’s mission to prepare students spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially for service to God and man.
- Participate in worship, prayer meeting, vespers, and worship services on Sabbath as part of assigned supervision teams.
