Baltimore Junior Academy is seeking a passionate, mission-driven Early Childhood Director to lead our
Early Childhood program with excellence and a commitment to Christ-centered education. The successful
candidate must be a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church who demonstrates a vibrant
relationship with Jesus Christ and serves as the spiritual leader of the classroom through daily worship,
prayer, Bible instruction, and Christ-like example. The ideal candidate must possess the qualifications and
credentials required by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to serve as a Child Care
Center Director.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing developmentally appropriate instruction
• Creating a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Partnering with families
• Supervising the Early Childhood program
• Ensuring compliance with Maryland licensing regulations and school policies

Requirements:

• Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Achieved no less than a Bachelor’s Degree
• Local Fingerprint and Background Check clearance
• Sterling Volunteers clearance

Qualifications:

• A genuine love for young children
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective classroom management skills are essential
• Prior teaching experience preferred
