Position

G. E. Peters Adventist School is seeking a Physical Education Teacher/Athletic Director who will promote physical wellness and foster a love for fitness among our students. 

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curriculum tailored to different age groups
• Conduct engaging and interactive physical education classes that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their physical development
• Organize and supervise sports activities and events
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education with other subjects for a well-rounded educational experience
• Monitor and maintain sports equipment and facilities to ensure safety and functionality

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Passion for educating and inspiring students to lead active and healthy lifestyles
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Excellent MS Office, verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Education, or related area.
• Prior teaching experience preferred..  
• Must be a member of the SDA church in regular standing
• Must obtain clearance through required background checks and child protection training
